という川柳が当コースにも張ってありますし、
他のコースでも張られているところがあるでしょう。
 
でも、これってやっぱりゴルフに余裕のある人で
ないとできないですよね。
 
正直、「ちょっと偉そうな言い方だよな。」
というものがこの川柳にはありますし。
 
本日もラウンドをしながら、
同伴者の方や前のパーティの様子を見ていましたが、
やられているケースは少ないです。
 
私のパーティでは私を除けば、
シングルの方のお一人だけでした。
 
（いや、私はゴルフ場の人間ですから、
　必死でやらないと洒落にもなりませんし、
　他の方はHD’cp10と11だったんですが。）
 
前のパーティの方々も見ている限りでは
それらしきことをしている様子を
一度も目撃できませんでした。
 
それを意識するしないもあるとは思うのですが、
それよりもよほど余裕がないと
やっぱ出来ないんですよね。
 
パットが全員終わったのに、
4人でその作業をというわけにはいきませんし。
 
また、他の人が遠くから打って来るのに
1人で先にグリーンに行ってボールマーク直しも無理です。
 
結局、誰かがグリーン周りでトラブっている時だとか、
自分だけ先にオンさせて他の人が寄せている時など、
出来る時間は、結構限られています。
 
さらに自分たちの進行スピードがそこそこにある
というそもそもの前提も必要です。
 
そのため、ちょっと修正させて下さい。
 
可能なら自分のボールマークをお直し下さい。
余裕のある方は他の方の分もできるときにお願いします。
余裕のない時は結構です。
 
ボールマーク直しよりもラウンド進行を優先願います。
 
ボールマーク直しはゴルフ慣れしている人の
ステータスと言えるものなのかもしれず、
しなくて普通という気がこの頃はしています。
 
他の方の迷惑になる度合いも結構低いですし。
（また、余計なことを言ってしまったかもしれませんが）

It’s really hard to fix ball marks.
 
“If you just have a silver fork, it’s just iron.”
 

 
This senryu is posted on our course, and may be posted on other courses as well.
 
However, this is something that only someone who has time for golf can do.
 
To be honest, there are some parts of this senryu that make me think, “That sounds a bit arrogant.”
 
While playing my round today, I watched my companions and the party in front of me, and I noticed that there were very few cases of ball marks being fixed.
 
The only other person in my party who was fixing ball marks was a single player.
 
(No, I work at a golf course, and if I don’t fix the ball marks, it becomes a problem.)
 
As far as I could see, I never saw anyone from the previous party doing anything like that.
 
I think it depends on whether people are aware of it or not, but more importantly, unless you have a lot of leeway in golf, you still can’t fix ball marks.
 
We can’t all start fixing ball marks after everyone has finished putting, too.
 
Also, it’s impossible for one person to go to the green first to fix the ball mark while others are hitting from a distance.
 
In the end, when someone is having trouble around the green, or when you’ve gotten your ball on the green first and someone else hasn’t yet, the time you can to fix the ball mark is quite limited.
 
Furthermore, the initial assumption is that your playing speed is fast enough.
 
Furthermore, it is essential that their play progresses quickly enough.
 
So let me make a small correction.
 
Please fix your own ball marks if possible.
If you have the time, please fix others’ as well when you can.
If you don’t have the time, that’s fine.
 
Please prioritize progressing through the round over repairing ball marks.
 
Fixing ball marks may be something of a status symbol for people who are used to playing golf, but these days I feel like it’s normal not to do it.
 
The degree of inconvenience to other people is also quite low.
(Again, I may have said something unnecessary.)
